Principal’s Welcome
I welcome you to our school website. If you are already part of the Julatten school community I know you are enjoying living in the best place in Australia. If you are considering moving to the area, I’d love to show you around the school and let you see why we’re all so proud of being part of this learning community. What a great place to live and work for adults and children alike.
Our school is a vibrant, caring and nurturing learning organisation committed to enhancing its excellent reputation by continuing to emphasise excellence in all aspects of school life. We aim to be the very best we can be by allowing each child opportunities to develop to his/her potential in all areas.
Our staff are experienced, dedicated and thorough professionals who maintain an active interest in the lives of all of our students. We cater for, value and celebrate individual differences in children’s culture, ability, learning styles and knowledge. We also strive to provide a safe and supportive learning environment where risk taking is encouraged and mistakes viewed as opportunities for learning.
At Julatten we value quality relationships and educational partnerships and pride ourselves on a very holistic approach to your child’s education.
Within our curriculum we endeavour to create learning experiences that will challenge our young learners to move beyond their present levels while still providing success. Literacy and Numeracy are a strong focus and our results reflect this. The Arts and the Environment are also areas of learning that underpin units of work. The development of our Learning Garden opposite the school is ongoing.
We are fortunate to have the local Community Centre with a Kindy and Outer School Hours Care facility located on the school site so in effect we are an educational hub for our families.
We’d love to welcome you to our school community and I look forward to getting to know you and your family.
Regards
Monica Halbert
